Taxi Ver 2.0

With so many cab services it has become quite a hassle whom to choose. Market is filled with cabs like Meru, OLA, Taxi for sure, Radio Taxi, Uber cabs and many more. There are so many options and so many mobile apps. The question is which one to choose and is it SAFE?
in past few month so many cases have come to light about cab drivers taking advantage of lonely travelers at odd times. Similar incidences has been heard about auto riksha's as well. So it becomes really difficult to decide weather to take the TAXI or the subway. But surely there are times when you must take a cab taking into account the convenience and accessibility.
Normal taxis are hard to find on road these days and even if you are lucky enough to get one then you are ought to spend your next few minutes over the amount or the use of metered fair. So why not call a cab instead where the fair is a fixed deal?!
I personally have tried a few of these like Meru and Ola etc. And presently i'll give OLA cabs a 5 star rating. Why? Well let me tell you why. 1st of all the Android app interface is very user friendly. Secondly what i find best with Ola is there is no need to mention the destination before hand. You have the choice to change your destination midway. Also you can keep the cab on wait which  has a very reasonable waiting charge and you can return via same cab from your destination back to origin.
Third point would be Ola money - which means travel cashless. At many occasions you may find it better to pay online than by cash or may be you might not be having any or your purse was stolen but you still have your phone and your internet banking with you. Just top it up with cash and you are good to go home. Fourth, Ola has come up with a good option of emergency contact which allows you to provide a phone number of your liking who will always be informed when ever you take a ride. This way misshapenings could be avoided upto a good extent.
And many many more features like... you can select weather to take a small car or a classy car and so will you be billed accordingly. You can even book a autoriksha by using Ola app. And also they have introduced Ola Cafe. So now you can even order food via Ola App.
So i would say go for Ola than any other.... This is on the very basis of my personal experience.
Ola as well have a excellent customer care service and any problems are dealt with immediately.
Where as with Meru, rides are good but service sucks. Customer care never responds and i personally have heard of an incident where the cab driver thrashed the rider for requesting a de-tour.
Uber has already been associated with a foreigner rape case and Taxi for sure emphasizes more on their adds then their actual service.

Also Ola has this amazing offer where you get Rs.100 as a bonus credit when you ride for the first time by using a friends refereal code. So you get Rs. 100 free and so does your friend. Isn't it amazing. All you have to do is enter a referal code at the time of sign up and you get Rs.100 credited to your Ola money account. And when you take your 1st ride it gets deducted from there. So if the total cost of your ride is Rs. 180 you will only have to pay Rs.80.
Example of referral code XCW0R2

So goto OlaCabs.com now and sign up using the referral code above. And Enjoy a hassle free cab ride in INDIA

Whatsapp Calling

The wait is over. Long awaited feature of whatsapp calling is finally here. No more being dependent on other calling apps like viber, line, skype quick etc. Now whatsapp lets you call any one using whatsapp over the charge of your normal internet data or wifi. How cool is that!
Here i'm going to tell you step by step procedure on how to get this absolutely free and brilliant feature on your smartphone.

STEP 1

The 1st and foremost thing required is to have a updated version of whatsapp on your phone. If you haven't done so i'll suggest do it right away. (It requires ver 5.12 for android)
Here are the links

Google play store
Apple itunes store
Windowsphone store
Whatsapp website

STEP 2

Once you have a updated version of whatsapp app on your smartphone all you need is to receive a call from someone who is already using this brilliant new feature. (If you are lucky enough it may get activated itself)
Easiest way to do so is to set your whatsapp status in form of a request. For example - "Help me activate the calling feature of whatsapp. Give me a call please" and similar status.

STEP 3

Once you have received a call from someone your calling feature gets activated automatically and now you can place calls to anyone by simply going to the 'Calls' tab on the top and placing a call to any of the whatsapp contacts or directly going into messaging of a contact whom you wanna call and press the call icon next to that person's name.

Here are a few screenshots to help you understand better.

This is just an example and the actual presentation may vary from phone model to model and OS to OS.
Also whatsapp has not officially introduced this feature. New update only mentions about whatsapp on PC along with the steps how to activate whatsapp on PC.

P.S: You can always request to me for a call to activate this feature by mailing me at sarthak66@gmail.com. I'll be happy to call
